Way back last year I booked myself on a Wedding Styling course, oh but not just any Styling course the Flourish and Prosper styling course. They have a wonderful ethos of encouraging creative companies to push themselves and strive to make their businesses more beautiful learning from the best in the business.
As most of you will now know I have branched out into Styling weddings as well as hiring decor. It just felt like the natural progression and where my passion lies. So being a part of the F&P styling course gave me that final confidence boost with more tips to use not only on inspiration shoots but also at real weddings, where it really counts for you lovely lenders.
I picked up more ideas for layout, how to keep spaces balanced through colour and the importance of movement through design…
The venue was incredible at Aynhoe Park. So much eccentricity!
We worked through from moodboards to a final table setting. The devil is in the details as they say…
We were asked to take along homework…An object, an image, pretty paper, colour, ribbon and so on. The image of the windswept bride by the sea really inspired a darker mood, a slate tile and loose antlers from the range we’re the starting point. If you follow us on Facebook you might have noticed a beautiful beach shoot I am styling later this month. I’m really excited about this and my improved styling skills will play a big part in bringing this together (along with some of these pieces)
If you’d like a styling hand we’d love to hear from you.
