Way back on a hot Summers day in July, there were a few warm days this year, we got involved in a really colourful shoot arranged by Authentic Vintage Bridal. When I head it was loosely based on Woodstock festival and that it would be boho on LSD I couldn’t really say no. And then I found out it was Claudia Rose Carter as the photographer, I mean wow.
The shoot took me out of Norfolk and into Essex at Browning Bros beautiful grounds. Giant tipis, glamping and a lake, just the backdrop for a really colourful set up. We’ve had more requests lately to head into the north of Essex for styling and hire and we’re more than happy to get involved.
My favourite part of the shoot had to be the tablescape that was created with the vision of Authentic Vintage Bridal. We hung crochet plant hangers with terracotta pots filled with succulents as a starting point. The table was covered with a geometric crochet linen then old beer mats in multi-colours created a unique table runner. Our brass candle sticks we’re with dip dyed candles and the most incredible kitsch 60’s china from Peace, Love and Daisy Chains.
The second set up was a drinks and sweet station. We used vintage shop scales for macaroons and vintage glass stands for marshmallows and chocolates, filled our drinks dispensers with pink lemonade and wire trays held jam jars.
Then came these stunning models and flowers that blew me away from Arcade Flowers. Models sat in our stripy deckchairs…and the day was made with Baci the Pom dog! I’m a cat lady but he totally converted me. Serious hearts for eyes.
For the final part of the shoot we laid down our persian rug and used the Browning Bro’s sofa. Arcade Flowers dressed our large macrame hanging with flowers for a final nod to the 70’s.
Beautiful, delicate dresses from Authentic Vintage Bridal and bold suits for our guy made this shoot. Whisking us back to earlier eras…
It was a blooming amazing day to see the shoot on Rock ‘n’ Roll Bride. It’s always been one of those blogs I’ve dreamed of being featured on. The ultimate in alternative wedding inspiration, and definitely inspired me as a bridey.
