STYLED FLOWER CROWN HEN PARTY

001_Print_bloved_floral_Tatum Reid Photography 2016

If L plates, pink cowboy hats and bar crawls are not what your hen party dreams are made of we have an alternative. If you’re looking for something a little more stylish we have the perfect solution. A styled flower crown hen party.

Bring along your girl tribe to a gorgeous styled venue complete with beautiful styled details, sweet treats station and a abundance of fresh flowers to create their own flower crown…

I’ve been wanting to put together styled hen party packages for a while, but the weeks roll on and there just don’t seem to be enough hours…but I’m excited that I’ll hopefully add this to our site this Autumn.

This shoot was a collaboration with our floral favourites, Swaffham and Fakenham Florists who run private flower crown parties. Amazing right!? So much pretty and a new skill for your girls to try while sipping on bubbles and drinking cake! The perfect afternoon…

The styled sweet treats station

We styled a little sweet treats station with donuts, cakes, fresh fruit and pink pop. Yum!

Our awesome photographer was Tatum Reid, who captured all the hens in their crowns. What could be more beautiful than a professional photographer being their at the party to take stunning pictures to cherish and look back on.

This is the perfect hen party for all your girl friends, their babies, kiddies, the Mums and Nans too…and even pets it seems!

The venue decor

The venue was Cliff Barns in Norfolk, its the perfect eclectic, cool space for a hen party with really awesome rooms to stay in too. We followed the palette of pinks, greys and monochrome spots and stripes through form the workshop into the small decor and dressed the main barn and mantel.

DIY MODERN BOHEMIAN TABLESCAPE.

Beth Moseley Photography_Tables-20821

Beth Moseley Photography_Tables-20797

Are you a Modern Bohemian? Do you love nothing more than walking bare foot on the beach collecting drift wood and pebbles for projects? Is your home full of colour and all a little bit ecclectic? Well then this ones for you.

I was asked by EDP BRIDES Norfolk and Suffolk magazine to set up a Summer tablescape for ‘A table of all seasons’ feature. I immediateley knew I wanted to create something textural with lots of natural elements incorporated; wood, metals, tin, stone, glass and feathers. It was a chance to create something fun and off-beat and show that DIY doesn’t need to cost the earth when you use items that are easily found or collected.

HOW TO CREATE THIS LOOK :

Beth Moseley Photography_Tables-20804

Our mini glass bottles we’re tied with brown string to chair backs and Brass coloured ribbon and a sprig of Eucalyptus was added to each bottle along with a tiny feather.

Beth Moseley Photography_Tables-20789

I took along some tiny pots of our Home-grown Succulents (which you can hire from us) and I screwed on a Brass door number to a piece of found wood. *Whole table number set coming soon to Our little range page*

Beth Moseley Photography_Tables-20785

White pebbles we’re collected from the beach and a gold pen used to hand write name settings, a simple, cost-effective but cool idea don’t you think?

Beth Moseley Photography_Tables-20768

Dip dyed napkins and table linen was something I’d been wanting to try for some time. And why pay a fortune when you can DIY.

I used a cotton/polyester mix fabric (100% cotton takes cold dye the best though.) Think about using other colours to white, I went with a biscuit beige contrasted with hot neon pink. Home dyeing is really easy, you just need a DYSON Cold dye packet, a bucket (or a stainless steal sink worked well in our case) some rubber gloves and salt. Follow the instructions on the packet to ensure the right quantities of salt to water with the dye.
To create the dip-dye look as we have, dip the fabric into the dye, about half way up worked well so you could see the colour change. We then pulled the fabric out a little more after 20 minutes or so leaving the end in the dye for the whole duration. The dye will naturally want to creep up the fabric anyway. Wash off the excess dye and hang to dry. Cut into napkins squares when dry. Hem the edges with a sewing machine if you prefer, although for this look I like the raw cut look.

I also love the idea of printed and patterned fabrics with dip dye effect for table linen too.

Beth Moseley Photography_Tables-20773

Brass candle sticks and coloured candles we’re paired up to add a little summer shine to the table and drift wood laid though the middle of the table.

Beth Moseley Photography_Tables-13670

The centre piece in a large tin can was created by The Country Garden Florist. The loose, colourful arrangement really helped create a Modern Bohemian feel. Bright orange rosa Julischka, Popping pink Veronica, Achillea Paprika and Anenomes in Mona Lisa blue we’re paired together. Movement was created though a mix of dark wiegela foliage and olive stems. Thistles and a central succulent were added for an eclectic, fresh finish.

Beth Moseley Photography_Tables-4

Are you adding some colour and boho cool to your wedding day tables?
Oh, if I could do it all again…

Stunning images by Beth Moseley Photography and Special thanks to The Country Garden Florist too.

A WONDERFUL LITTLE YEAR.

A GREAT BIG THANKYOU

Woah, here we are at the end of the year again. For me it was a total whirlwind of a year. I don’t know about you but as the year draws to a close it’s always a time I think about just how far I’ve come in those 12 little months.

Just yesterday I counted up all the lovely little lenders we’d had during 2014 and there were 92! An incredible bunch of people we got to meet and work with in our first full year of trading. I just loved helping each and everyone of you create your wedding day vision. Our dream of running this company isn’t possible without you, so thankyou for your support of our little company – The kind words, the comments, the likes and shares on social media, they all make you the best bunch of followers a girl could ask for. Your wedding excitement just makes us smile each day, and I know I have definitely found my calling.

WE GOT LUCKY

This year I got lucky – Like really, super lucky when I won an unbelievable prize to attend a wedding academy with We are Flourish and Prosper. It was beyond inspirational. I learnt a lot to help my little company grow into something much bigger (not without a lot of hard work of course) but I feel more energised to keep striving to make my dreams a reality. Since the academy I’ve already made some small but significant changes, and got a whopping great big confidence kick that I needed from some amazing women in this industry.

I was also asked to join the B.Loved contributors network. I’ll be working on some rather exciting collaborations and submissions for the most luxe and lovely blog on the internet. Beyond excited to be a part of their community and such a huge honour to sit along side some of the most creative and exciting companies in the wedding sphere.

FABULOUS FEATURES

Some highlights of the year have to be seeing our styled shoots featured online and in print. Back in April I worked with Tatum Reid Photography on my first collaborative shoot ‘A Modern Fairytale’ that was featured on B.Loved blog. Full of pretty, whimsical details I brought antlers, books, candles and log slices to the table quite literally.

It was in May I had a fantastic ‘Loved by Coco’ feature on Coco Wedding Venues with the first of my own styled shoots. A ‘Beautiful Boudoir’ shoot, that had all the charm of an English rose Garden with a modern twist.

Festival Brides featured something a little different in July, an Earthy dessert table, modern and fresh succulents and cactus we’re the focus for this concept. And our first full styled shoot hit the internet on Whimsical Wonderland Weddings in August. Country Manor esq and full of intimacy and opulence, I was as proud as punch to have this featured.

Coco Wedding Venues asked us for some top styling tips for styling a Rustic venue and the shoot was featured in September. It was a great opportunity to get out some of our most treasured pieces and show how to use them to make the most of your relaxed spaces.

And finally, ending the year on a huge high in November we we’re in print with our Rustic Glamour dessert table in a top national magazine, ‘Wedding Magazine.’ That’s the stuff of dreams for a small wedding prop hire company like ours.

We’ve been featured in some fab local press to, Your East Anglian Wedding featured our Rustic Dessert table shoot too and Norfolk Brides shared our Woodland Picnic styled shoot form last year and our ‘To the Manor Born’ shoot just last week.

Pop to our pretty press page to see all the features.

2015 AND BEYOND

We’re going to be developing more skills for our little business in the new year. We’ve enrolled on a digital photography course with Tatum Reid Photography, a modern calligraphy course with Lamplighter London and we’ve booked our spot on the Flourish & Prosper styling workshop too. This is all to work towards bringing more innovation and creativity to the table and to you, our little lenders through our blog posts and styling collaborations. I can’t wait to see the new year in, there will be more big plans for Little Lending range too of course, I think you’re going to like what we’ve got up our sleeves!

We’d like to wish you all a very merry christmas and a wonderful new year ahead!

See you on the other side,

STYLING YOUR RUSTIC SPACES.

Back in August we were asked by the gorgeous Emma at Coco wedding Venues with her rather fabulous wedding blog to style feature that was right up our alley. ’15 Rustic Wedding styling tips.’ Of Course I jumped at the chance and couldn’t wait for a day setting up our wares at Godwick Great Barn in the middle of the Norfolk countryside.

The beautiful barn backdrop and remote setting was a rustic prop hire companies dream space. We asked Summer Love Photography to take all these stunning photos and The Country Garden Florist to bring along her fresh florals to help us pretty the props. A big thanks to Rose and Glory Cake company too for the dove grey stacked cake.

There is never just one idea for our props, and we’re all about thinking outside that styling box for new and exciting ways to use our timeless treasures. From our much loved vintage bike to our working typewriters there’s sure to be something to inspire your styling for all those relaxed wedding venues you’ve chosen. Filling cubby holes with old storm lanterns to troughs stashing your favours, cute crates filled with blankets to DIY tipi’s topped with antlers and foliage…I’m going to let the pictures do the talking.

RUSTIC GLAMOUR DESSERT TABLE.

Many of you will have seen this shoot featured earlier this year on B.Loved blog, and boy was it amazing to see our styling on such a fabulous, inspiring wedding style site. And today we’re bringing the shoot home to our own blog and to our local brides who will now also spot this in print this month as we’re featured in Your East Anglian Wedding Magazine. Hooray!

It’s still our favourite still life shoot of the year. It’s all about mixing the luxe with the laid-back for this look. A relaxed glamour set with industrial, rustic pieces really creates a cool that I think is going to be around for a while yet. This is a classic pastel colour palette of mint and peach with a splash of pop hot pink thrown in to create something just a little bit edgier and fresher. It felt contemporary but timeless too.

With our Industrial props creating the frame from old step ladders, milk churns, apple crates and picnic baskets it gave the desserts and our golden cake a place to shine from. Styled dessert tables are totally having their moment, have you considered one for your day? We also filled our Jam Jars with pink pop and lent glass cake stands for the puds and treats.

This shoot was our first huge styled shoot, with models, make-up artists and 2nd photographers – the lot….to say this was not a big deal I would be lying. When I started The Little Lending Co. I knew wanted to work on styled shoots – the kind that really get brides excited, enough to make ooooh noises but getting big and beautiful shoots together is no mean feat.

Turning up at Godwick Hall with all our props back in April to meet lots of amazingly talented suppliers that wanted to work with me was pretty surreal. I was about to style and co-ordinate a Bridal shoot. I knew I wanted to use our original pieces in the range, most of them with some kind of story or past to them, to add character and timeless decoration to this Country Manor shoot that I’d been pinning images for for weeks. Through our styled shoots I always hope to take timeless items and work on new ways of dressing tables and spaces to give a little difference and new take on an old-time piece.

Godwick Hall with it’s high georgian ceilings and eclectic decor worked so well as our setting, creating our manor born shoot with a touch of highland heritage through the use of our Antlers, Reindeer Hides, old books and brass we created a vintage inspired shoot with an edge. It was also our first play with handwritten signage on our boards too, the romantic Shakespeare quote ‘When I saw you I fell in love and you smiled because you knew’ is my favourite yet.

I’d worked with Darena at DSPhotography before and had every confidence in the magic she could create through her use of light and I’d stumbled across Donna at The Country Garden Florist and her gorgeous shop earlier in the year with the most luxurious and bespoke handwriting I knew her ideas would be perfect. There were other ladies I’d worked with like Georgina Suzanne MUA and couldn’t wait to work with again, and Laura of Bettys Beauty, Kirsty at Zanys Boutique Hair Salon, Melissa Morgan Designs and Screen the Starlet Dresses I just couldn’t wait to see them shine. It was Georgie and Adam at Sandra Reynolds Agency that really made a perfect pairing in front of the cameras that day though.

It was so special to see the shoot featured on Whimsical Wonderland Weddings blog. To see our first big collaboration shoot featured on such a well-loved blog gave me immense pride. Definitely a first year highlight. Read all about the inspiration and details behind this shoot here.

Are you inspired to have a country manor styled day, and intimate little affair with opulent details? I’m thinking vowel renewal already…

Thankyou to all the gorgeous people involved with this shoot, so very proud of you all.

THE GREEN PARTY.

Sometimes when I have an ideas for a styled shoot with our props I just don’t know if people will get it. And this was one of those shoots. I know that some brides might not be ready for mini deer sculls and cactus plants in their wedding styling but I think some of our Little Lending Brides might just roll with this….

I always wanted to offer something a little different in styling and this is exactly why I decided to style this shoot with our more ‘Alternative’ items in the range. My love for succulents and cactus just seems to grow lately and it was the perfect opportunity to showcase some of our little potted lovelies from The Little Lent Nursery that we have been busy potting and planting over the last few months.

And old rustic barn wall at Glebe Farm, Carlton Forehoe was the perfect backdrop for our ‘Green Party’ cake table. Terracotta pots full of our home-growns, earth ware and a whole lotta moss we’re brought to the table. This was one cake table styled with a difference. The wedding cake table is taking center stage and no longer are cakes just put in the corner on any spare table sitting on a silver cake board. Oh no! With this shoot we wanted to try something slightly different for the style-savvy and off-beat bride to ponder….

I was totally over the moon when Festival Brides blog featured the shoot and you can read more about how this dessert table came together with a perfect dream team of suppliers here. A huge thanks to The Little Party Company with their sweet treats, Buns of Fun for making a totally awesome retro Bundt cake and The Country Florist who brought that rad CAKE moss covered letters. Tatum Reid as ever with her photography magic and Love Toppings with their acrylic topper giving the cake a lot of cool.

With our slate tiles, glass cake stands and jars, milk churns, apple crates, mini lemonade bottles and old fashioned drinks dispensers all brought along to this shoot we can help create this fresh rustic look for your events and happy to liase with your caterer to help your vision come to life.

Are you planning a styled cake table, perhaps you like the idea of lots of cakes and deserts over the big traditional cake?

This shoot was also the perfect test for our ‘Styled stations’ that I have been mulling over for some time now. I have been busy collecting more props and pieces for wedding stations that can really make your days rock. There will be 3 main stations to start with ; Welcome Drinks station, Sweet Treats Station and Rustic Decor station. I really can’t wait to share these with you in the coming weeks once they have been photographed.

Keep an eye out on Facebook and Instagram for sneaky set ups…

A CREATIVE EYE.

Since starting our little company a few venues and companies have spotted our props and pieces and been in touch to ask for help with styling up their spaces for commercial use. This is something I just adore doing, getting stuck into a brief and making spaces look striking and inspiring to potential customers.

From classic looks and settings that we created at Timbers Country Lodge for their new wedding brochure :

To more alternative and bohemian settings in Magical Camping’s Giant Tipi at new outdoor venue Hush Venues :

We have also been down to the woods with Vinteage, afternoon teas and wedding china hire company for the day too :

Are you looking for a little creative direction with your wedding venues, spaces or products? We’d love to hear from you to talk about how we can help create something special. Drop us a line here.

THE LITTLE LENDING CO. ON COCO WEDDING VENUES.

I’ve been following Emma on Coco wedding Venues almost since her beautiful venue directory started. But this is not any wedding venue directory – This one is different. Only the most special and unique venues that have been handpicked up and down the country make it on. And when you see them they actually take your breath away. I would call myself a bit of a stalker when it comes to Coco wedding venues now, and when you follow Emma’s instagram and inspiring blog I’m sure you’ll become a super fan like us too.

I adore the style and ethos of Emma’s company, each new venue added makes me dream of being a bride again, or at least styling one of the incredible venues with some of our range. The venue search is broken down into types – City Chic, Modern Vintage and Costal Cool, Me I’d have to be Rustic Romance with a touch of Bohemian Beats in the mix.

The blog is super stylish with dreamy shoots, cool colour palettes and suppliers that you’ll want to be in touch with. So it was a massive honour to be featured under the ‘Loved By Coco’ section with our little company with our own styled shoot at Godwick Hall. I wanted to create a shoot that focuses on the morning of that really special day, when your day is finally here – the day you’ve been dreaming of. THIS is our ‘Beautiful Boudoir’ shoot. You can see us featured on Coco and read lots more about the inspiration for the shoot here.

THE LITTLE LENDING CO. ON B.LOVED BLOG

When photographer Tatum Reid asked me to be a part of her Rustic Fairytale styled I got super excited when I saw her previous styled shoots. Such beautiful natural work with really exciting ideas and vision. She was calling in some brilliant local suppliers to work on the shoot too, from origami flower making experts Lottie’s Florigami to Local bridal dress designers Sophie and Smith and make-up artist Georgina Suzanne so knew this was going to be pretty special.

You can read more about the direction and inspiration of our ‘A Modern Fairytale’ shoot on B.loved wedding blog and we talk about the decor and how we styled up the two different tablescapes for the shoot. http://www.blovedweddings.com/a-modern-fairytale

I loved being a part of this shoot and got a little over-excited to be featured on another UK wedding blog with our little company. Here are some of my favourites of the shoot that Tatum captured so perfectly.
