I thought it was about time we looked at Table Plan displays here at Little Lending. (Sorry if this is a sore subject in the planning right now, but at least they can be uber pretty right?!…) They’re a gorgeous detail that have endless options to add a little quick and interest to your day. We’ve gathered up some of our favourite pins showing alternative ideas to get bums on seats, this literally is just a handful from our newest Pin-board.

It’s still a firm favourite of mine – hand written displays on blackboards, glass, tags or my latest love paper scrolls. Hand-written elements are personal and so hot right now (don’t forget we offer this service on all our boards). Think about using different coloured inks on different coloured bases too; neon pink on taupe or a moody navy with white ink. Mirrors are also having a moment along with wooden panels and hanging canvases too.

A huge move onto escort cards for table plans is coming. You can create real impact with different displays of escort card options, from hanging branches with strings to tucking them into wooden library card drawers. Consider writing on something other than card too; stones and pebbles, drift wood, bark or leaves or tie foliage or dried herbs to the mini cards.

A really top idea is to double up on escort cards and also favours. Who says favours have to be on the table – from mini potted plants to lucky horseshoes have some fun with what your guests will take away tom the day. Be practical and add their card to the neck of their welcome drink bottle or jam pots for the table.

Signage is really coming into its own. So many stylish ways to show guests to their seats or more importantly, the nearest watering hole.
It’s something you kind of need too if you have a spaced out venue or somethings tucked round the back that people will need to find. And personally, I think road side signage is a must to make sure everyone find you in the first place – it builds up lots excitement on the drive up too!

You don’t need to make Signage expensive – Finding old wood or fence panels from Dads DIY projects, or logs and bark collected from the woods, slate or even large pieces of cardboard done right can get the job done using tins of forgotten paint at the back of the garage. Using what you have to hand makes the day just that little bit more easy and home-spun.

Chalkboards are ‘the’ must have signage of the moment. A timeless cool of old school memories and nostalgia of days spent in classrooms with blackboards that roll and chalky fingers. And if you go wrong when writing the table plan in chalk there won’t be any tears – you can just rub it out! We’ve been adding lots of chalkboard additions; slate tiles, our home-made arrows (photographed), blackboard clipboards, making menus come to life, and our free standing large blackboards with or without easel are perfect for the days timetable or seating plan. Plus something new (after lots of compliments on my handwriting) we can now write on our chalk signs your messages and words for a small fee. Drop us a message if you’d like to know more about this service.
