SPRING FLOURISH STYLED SHOOT FEATURED ON B.LOVED BLOG.

Spring has most definitely sprung. I am loving the seeing the world turn green and flowers come to life. It’s definitely a time for new beginnings and our shoots theme was new growth and fresh spring flourishes. This inspiration shoot is key for any Spring couples looking to keep things simple; a clean palette of luminous whites, buttercup yellows and shades of green and you can’t go far wrong.

Swaffham and Fakenham Florists worked on creating textural, layered florals, when the girls asked us to be a part of the shoot – I jumped. Starting outside to in, they filled our milk churns, watering cans and buckets with a mix of tall pussy willow, gypsopheia, daisy, dill, populis berries, eucalyptus, lisianthus, paper whites and phlox. A rustic, relaxed welcome to Pentney Abbey’s barn.

We dressed Dita Lee’s cake table with flowers and foliage spilling from the dresser drawers and laid antlers and more tea lights on top. The spring wreath hung in on our old door had to be my favourite floral highlight of the shoot. I love the symbolism of wreaths all year round, a never ending love. A table plan of white paper doily bunting and hand-written names was sweet and chic.

The barn the perfect setting for the shoot, full of charm. We filled the shelves around the room with masses of candle light and little old-fashioned glass bottles with paper white and ranunculus scenting the space with a hypnotising clean aroma. Simple, timeless decor and magical light.

The tables we’re topped with Wooden table boxes from our range and filled with a mix of white and green flowers and foliage and little upturned terracotta pots with lolly pop stick table numbers. Lolly pop stick name places were placed with a single flower stem added to each setting. Little spray painted spring baby animals we’re added and could make a sweet take-home favour. The Bride and Grooms chair was tied together with our ‘&’ sign and lashings of lovely daisies.

A basket full of cards was dressed with flowers and shades of green books and up-turned apple crates but the fire place finished the look with Crochet white bunting for a pure and ceremonial feel at the head of the barn.

SPRING GARDEN BLOOM SHOOT.

We just love to collaborate with like minded companies and after meeting the fantastic Julie at Buds in Bloom, I just knew we’d hit it off both personally and creatively through our work together.

We wanted to celebrate the start of spring (and the end of a very long winter) taking to the garden where the daffodils were just starting to show. Through loose and pretty floral mixes in vibrant colours they sat perfectly paired back with some of our new hire items that had been stored away all winter.

Hanging vintage glass bottles or bunting in trees makes for a great backdrop for guests photos or the perfect entrance with some DIY hanging signage too. Its also the debut of our milk churns which really pack some punch full of Julie’s floral decor.

It really is a wonderful, colourful time…
